Where to stay

On the locations page of this website you'll be able to see where the wedding ceremony and the reception are taking place. Stockholm's easy to travel across but it is wise to plan your accommodation sensibly!
Uber can be a little pricey so whether you're getting a hotel or renting via AirBnB, we recommend trying to stay around Södermalm where possible.

Public Transport

You'll need an Access card to use public transport in Stockholm but they are cheap and easy to get hold of and they'll give you access to buses, trains, trams and ferries. For more information read this
We also recommend you download the Citymapper app as that works in Stockholm and will give you the best public transport routes. Super easy to use!

Airport to Stockholm

We recommend you fly into Stockholm Arlanda. It's very easy to get from the airport to the city and vice versa.
Whether you're travelling by car, train or bus (taxi is also an option but more expensive!) you can find everything you need right here

SPEECHES

Combining British and Swedish wedding cultures results in some clashes of tradition but we're aiming for the best of both.
The British tradition is three (maybe one or two extra) in the order of ”father of the bride, then groom, then best man” - and they can run pretty long. The Swedish wedding speech tradition is LOTS AND LOTS OF THEM, so wedding guests are instructed to keep it to two-three minutes max.
To manage the list of speeches and ensure the dinner runs smoothly, Swedish wedding receptions are hosted by one or two toastmasters - ours are Hanna Bixo and Freddie Lundvall.
They will be in charge of everything to do with the speeches so if you do wish to raise a glass during the dinner, please get in touch with them at mitchellmalmtoast@gmail.com. There will be no ad hoc speeches on the day!
